FAA UPN Tracker is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
2 Information we collect
Information you provide
When submitting a Suspected Unapproved Parts Report, you may optionally provide your name, email, phone number, part details, and description. All reporter contact information is entirely optional — you may submit reports anonymously.
Information we do not collect
- We do not collect personal information simply from using the App.
- We do not require account creation or login.
- We do not track your location.
- We do not collect device identifiers or advertising IDs.
- We do not use analytics services or tracking pixels.
- We do not share data with third-party advertisers.
Camera access
The Parts Scanner requests camera access on iOS or allows photo uploads on macOS. Images are processed entirely on-device using Apple's Vision framework, are never uploaded to our servers, and are never stored after the scan session ends.
3 How we use your information
Report submissions are used solely to store your report securely and generate the FAA Form 8120-11 PDF for your direct submission to the FAA. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with any third parties except as required by law.
4 Data storage & security
- Report submissions are stored in a secured database hosted in the United States.
- Data is encrypted in transit using TLS/HTTPS.
- We retain submitted reports for 3 years, after which they are purged.
5 Your rights
You have the right to submit reports anonymously, request deletion of any report you submitted, and request a copy of any personal data we hold. Contact: support@faaupntracker.com
6 Children's privacy
FAA UPN Tracker is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
7 Third-party services
- Supabase — database hosting (supabase.com)
- Apple VisionKit — on-device OCR, no data leaves your device
- FAA Website — public UPN data from www.faa.gov
8 California privacy rights (CCPA)
California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion, and opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information. Contact: support@faaupntracker.com
9 Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
